Here is a graph containing Shannon Airport's daily mean temperatures for June 1970 (its previous warmest June on record) and June 2018. Both months were fairly close to each other until the end when 2018 smashed 1970 out of the water. The most remarkable record of all has to be its daily mean temperature of 23.1°C on 27th June 2018 which is remarkably higher than any Central England daily mean temperature for June on record. The highest for the CET was 23.0°C on 3rd June 1947. The highest Central England daily mean temperature during June 1976 was 22.7°C. This is a very fascinating record by Shannon Airport.
