Ireland's sunniest day on record: June 27th 2018

Sunshine totals (hours) for Irish stations from the 21st-27th June 2018 show Valentia Observatory is still in first place for the warm spell or heatwave with Shannon Airport in second place though Cork Airport is 0.1 hour less than Shannon. Today (28th June) will bring most station's totals up to at least 100 hours. This is shaping up to be the sunniest June since 2009 and or 2006.

A spectacular day across the board the 27th was with 16.4 hours of sun at Malin Head! That's a new record for Ireland making it Ireland's sunniest day ever recorded.
