The Emerald Isle enjoyed its hottest June day since 1976 today on the 28th June 2018 with a maximum temperature of 32.0°C being reached at Shannon Airport, Co. Clare. This makes it the highest June temperature on record at the station since its records began in 1939 and not only that, this is the highest temperature ever recorded for any month at Shannon Airport.
