June 2018 Temperature Stats for Irish Stations and Shannon Airport's warmest Junes on record

Chart below shows mean maxima, high max and the No. of days with temps equal or greater to 22/25/27/30°C at the majority of reporting Met Éireann stations for the month of June to give a greater level of perspective as to the amount of warmth June 2018 had in Ireland.

Shannon Airport recording 25°C or more for 12 days during June 2018 is a new record for the station since its records began in 1939. It must be close to the all-time highest number of 25°C or more days in June for Ireland too. It was Shannon Airport's warmest June on record also as can be shown by its top 5 warmest Junes on record below.

1. 1970: 16.0°C

2. 2009: 15.9°C

3. 2010/1976: 15.8°C

4. 1992/1995: 15.7°C

5. 2016: 15.6°C

June 2018 provisionally: 17.0°C

So June 2018 smashed its previous warmest June of 1970.
